You can now use a YouTube video as the cover for your post—meaning it will appear above the title and feature prominently in the feed.
Just go to create a post via /new, click Cover Video Link, and paste the URL!
While YouTube is the most popular video embed, we also support Twitch (permalinked videos, not channel links) and Mux!
Mux is primarily video infrastructure for developers, so sharing a direct Mux link isn't the standard use case. However, as developers, we wanted to ensure it was an option!
We have a Mux Challenge running right now, so feel free to use this new functionality for your entry.

Using the API
In addition to the editor, you can add one of these links via the video_source_url attribute in the API!
Available in Forem!
DEV is built on Forem, so all things Forem immediately have access to this feature as well.

{% embed video_link %}syntax should work. You'll want to grab the playback URL from mux. Let me know if you have questions! Thanks ! Will check
